Why Huddle House Franchising
VETERANS, MAKE GREAT LEADERS
ARMED WITH DISCIPLINE
Merle Wayne Leonard believes that his military training has helped him be a successful Huddle House franchise owner — discipline, work ethic, and a team mentality have gone a long way toward the health of his business and his relationship with his son, Matthew, who works in the franchise with him.
The 73-year-old and his 37-year-old son own Huddle House franchises in Blairsville and Clayton, Georgia.
The Leonards earned a “Best of the Best” Franchise award and have had locations named among the top five Huddle House stores. Wayne says he is honored to receive the award with his son and thinks they “make a great team.”
Huddle House Patriot Program for Veterans
Our VetFran program is a voluntary effort with the International Franchise Association member-companies that is designed to encourage franchise ownership by offering financial incentives to honorably discharged veterans.
Our Huddle House Patriot Program incentive provides a 25% reduction in the initial Franchise Fee due under our single unit Franchise Agreement for Traditional Stores only. To qualify, a prospective franchisee must request the Patriot Program at the time of application; must meet our then-current qualifications for new franchisees; the franchise must be at least 51% legally and beneficially owned by persons meeting our qualifying veteran status; the prospective franchisee may not have previously received a Veterans Incentive or Patriot Program incentive from us.
