Huddle House Breakfast Franchise Announces New VP of Development

Iconic brand recruits Christina Chambers to move brand forward.

Those wanting to get a slice of the Huddle House franchise pie by becoming a franchise owner couldn’t get a bite at a better time, as the Southern-inspired family restaurant franchise is ready for major growth with a new, experienced Vice President of Franchise Development.

Christina Chambers, who has more than 14 years of franchise sales experience, will take her seat at the Huddle House table during an exciting time. More than 400 restaurants are open or under development, and an additional 100 restaurants are set to open over the next three years.

The 24-hour, Southern-inspired family restaurant franchise is known for serving affordable, unapologetically homestyle food in a warm, friendly environment. Huddle House locations are often beloved gathering places in their communities, places where residents and travelers can get breakfast, lunch, and dinner any time of the day or night. With more than 400 restaurants open and under development, the 51-year-old franchise is growing well beyond its original core market in the Southeast and into markets in the Midwest and Northeast.

Christina brings years of leadership to the Huddle House franchise

“Christina is a dynamic franchise leader with a history of successfully growing some of the most well-known brands,” says Huddle House CEO Michael Abt.

She was the Director of Franchise Development for Great Wraps Inc., Velocity Sports Performance, and for Global Franchise Group, which includes Great American Cookies, Pretzelmaker, and Marble Slab Creamery.

As the Director of Franchise Development for Global Franchise Group, she led a sales team that broke company records by signing 143 units over a 24-month period. At Brightway Insurance, her sales processes and lead generation strategies resulted in a 266% year-to-year increase in lead flow. She reduced the average closing time on deals to 70 from more than 180 days and managed the development of marketing materials, broker programs, and the company’s online marketing presence.

Christina plans to support franchisees’ mission

As a franchise owner herself, Christina understands franchise owners’ needs. She and her husband, Ken, own a Great American Cookies franchise in Dunwoody, Georgia.

She plans to support the unique approach that the family breakfast franchise has of serving nostalgic and unapologetically comfort and diner food to customers, all while using Southern hospitality where team members get to know customers, treat them kindly, and go to extra lengths to make sure they enjoy their visit.

“Huddle House is an iconic brand within both franchising and the restaurant industry and is remarkably positioned for tremendous growth,” says Christina.

Our growth will be accomplished primarily through franchising by single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes, including urban areas, small towns, travel centers, and convenience sites. Less expensive end-cap and inline retail locations allow franchise owners to put down less of an initial investment than if they were buying land for a freestanding Huddle House. The locations perform at similar levels to freestanding units, allowing a franchise owner the potential to get a much faster return on initial investment.

Whether a Huddle House is in a rural or suburban town, people like our affordable prices and being able to get “Any Meal. Any Time.” According to Huddle House research, repeat customers eat at Huddle House an average of 47 times a year and spend an average of $1,055.
