Huddle House Franchise Makes Cover of Restaurant Facility Business Magazine

Article focuses on the recent 50th anniversary of the Huddle House franchise and its new ‘Evolution’ prototype design

With its new building prototype, contemporary furniture, LED lighting and updated menu offerings, the Huddle House franchise made the cover of Restaurant Facility Business magazine as master of “the art of evolution” for changing with the times throughout a 50-year history.

Our golden anniversary was featured in the magazine’s December 2014/January 2015 edition.

Our 24-hour, Southern-inspired family restaurant franchise is known for serving affordable, unapologetically homestyle food in a warm, friendly environment. Huddle House franchise locations often are beloved gathering places in their communities, places where residents and travelers can get breakfast, lunch and dinner any time of the day or night. With over 400 restaurants open and under development, we are growing well beyond our original core market in the Southeast and into markets in the West, Midwest and Northeast.

Restaurant Facility Business recognized us most notably for remodeling the exterior with a “signature tall tower entrance that draws the eye upward,” as well as our interior with “warm colors, contemporary furniture including upholstered booth seating and vibrant lighting” and LED lighting. That was just the image we were going for.

The magazine also made mention of our 15 new restaurants and our accomplishing the remodeling of more than a quarter of our stores by the end of the 2014. Jonathan Benjamin, chief development officer at the Huddle House franchise, told the magazine that we plan to have all of our stores renovated by 2019.

Restaurant Family Business is published six times annually and “is dedicated from cover to cover to the professionals responsible for maintenance, operations and construction/design for restaurants across the country,” according to the magazine’s website. The publication covers topics such as HVAC, lighting, roofing, plumbing, fire protection, painting and kitchen exhaust, among other things.
