Huddle House's Focus On Customer Service Keeps The Breakfast Franchise's Guests Coming Back

That’s why Huddle House breakfast franchise dominates the Southern hospitality market.

Chances are good that if you have a favorite restaurant, the folks there know your name — or at least your face. The most successful restaurants do more than just feed us. They build communities, and they offer service that’s more than excellent — it’s personal.

Chocolate Chip PankcakesSince Huddle House breakfast franchise was founded in 1964 in Decatur, Ga., Huddle House has been all about Southern hospitality. We’ve focused on customer service, as well as providing delicious homestyle food at an affordable price. We strive to become iconic touchstones in the communities we serve. We want our restaurants to be the places where people gather with friends every morning at 6 a.m. for 20 years; where high school teams claim a batch of tables after practice or to celebrate a big win; where a farmer or factory worker can stop in at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m. for a cup of coffee, a pile of pancakes or a thick burger.

In the small markets that have become our specialty, that makes a big difference. And in an era when customer service seems to have fallen by the wayside, Huddle House has found a way to stand out. For 50 years, customer service has been our forté. Huddle House franchisees know, and their staffs know, that a friendly smile, a warm greeting and a little attention to service keep customers coming back.

Every time people walk into our restaurants, anywhere in the country, we want them to know they can get whatever they want from the menu, thanks to our “any meal, any time” philosophy. And we want them to know they can count on being greeted and treated like family.

“Last spring we all wore red T-shirts that said ‘Welcome to my House,’ to remind everybody that this is what it’s all about,” says Jeanne Stanley, director of operations for the Milledgeville, Ga., Huddle House. “Customers are going to come here, and we’re going to feed them like family. You treat them like they were in your house.”

Our franchise has evolved over our half-century in business. The look of the restaurant has evolved — our latest Huddle House design is called “Evolution” — and our menu gets regular updates. But some things will never change, like our dedication to making all our customers feel welcome and valued.
